December 1 - Whitehorse Public Library Grand Opening
The new Whitehorse Public library will officially open at 10:00 am on December 3 with a public celebration at its new waterfront location next to the Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre. Visit the Yukon Public Library page for more info.

November 30 - Arctic Winter Games 2012
On March 4, 2012 Yukon will welcome over 2,000 athletes, cultural participants, coaches, mission staff and officials from Alaska, northern Canada, Greenland, Russia and Scandinavia.  Tickets are now on sale, visit the AWG site for more info.  News Release.

November 25 - Outstanding Yukon athletes and community recreation leaders recognized
Awards of excellence in sport and community recreation leadership were presented to 35 recipients at the 2011 Sport Yukon Annual Awards Night by Community Service Minister Elaine Taylor. News Release

November 23 - Whitehorse Public library is open.
Visit the new location at 1st and Black Street next to the Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre.
