Hours of operation

Braeburn Transfer Station is open seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

What is accepted

  • Household garbage (sanitary napkins, diapers, glass, etc.)
  • Recyclables (aluminum cans, cardboard, plastics). All recyclables must be separated.

 Friday  9:00 am to 5:00 pm
 Saturday  9:00 am to 5:00 pm
 Sunday  9:00 am to 5:00 pm

What is accepted

  • Household garbage (sanitary napkins, diapers, glass, etc.)
  • Recyclables (aluminum cans, cardboard, plastics). All recyclables must be sparated. 
  • Waste metals (scrap metal, tin cans, steel, iron, etc.)
  • Tires (car tires, bike tires, trailer and ATV tires). Unrimmed tires only. 
  • Construction and demolition waste (drywall, treated lumber, shingles, furniture, etc.) All C&D waste must be separated.
  • Household hazardous waste (light bulbs, cleaning supplies, batteries, oil, antifreeze, chemicals, aerosol cans, propane, etc.) All HHW must be separated, labelled and sealed.
  • Brush and clean wood
  • Vehicle bodies (must be drained of all fluids).
  • eWaste (TVs, phones, appliances, computers, etc.)
  • Free store (reusable clothes, shoes, furniture, toys, sport equipment, electronics, construction material like clean lumber, windows and doors, etc.)
