Licensing Charitable Gaming

Everyone likes bingo! It’s a game that has its origins in Italy in the 1500s. The way the game we play today, started as a carnival game in the U.S. in the 1930s, where it was known as ‘Beano’.

In Yukon, only not-for-profit groups are permitted to conduct bingo games as fundraisers. To do so, they must be approved by the Registrar of Lotteries as a charitable organization before they apply for a bingo licence.
