Consumer Services

Consumer Services promotes and encourages responsible practices that involve issues relating to building and public safety, consumer and employment standards in addition to a variety of commercial and corporate activity. These programs administer and enforce regulations, provide registration programs, public information registries and deliver review processes and inspection services that contribute to a competitive Yukon economy.

Protective Services

Safety is the primary focus of Protective Services. The employees promote and co-ordinate wildland fire and structural protection and prevention, emergency medical services and emergency preparedness in the Yukon.


Consumer and Protective Services have launched BizPaL.  We are the first site in Canada to offer a service that simplifies the process of obtaining business permit and licence information you need to start or expand your business enterprise and industry. Answer a few simple questions about your business venture and receive a customized list of permit and licence information at the Federal, Territorial and Municipal Government level.  If you already know what permits and licences are required, you can choose to search them individually. Get your permit and licence information.
