Recruitment & Training

When you volunteer for Emergency Medical Services

EMS volunteers need to be capable of lifting patients & equipment (with assistance), working within a team and dealing with a fast paced environment. All volunteers must pass an RCMP check prior to responding to emergency calls.

When on call, responding to an incident and attending official meetings, Yukon EMS Volunteers receive honoraria payments.

EMS teams have training meetings twice monthly to keep their skills sharp and stay up to date with the latest advances in emergency care.Yukon EMS BBQ's
