Current Fire Danger Ratings Wildfire Bulletin #65 August 05, 2004 - 9:45 AM Two Actioned Fires In Past 24 Hours There were two new fires reported yesterday, both actioned by Wildland Fire Management (WFM). A 0.1 hectare man-caused fire at the Carmacks dump has been actioned by a Little Salmon Carmacks crew and the Carmacks Volunteer Fire Department. It should be called out later today. The second fire is in a full management zone by the Pelly River and is 0.3 hectares in size. Fire crews put in a wet line 60% around the fire last night and there are currently two personnel working on it. This fire should be called out later today. Advisories Effective immediately, campfires for cooking and warming are permitted throughout Yukon. Permits are required for any other fires, such as for burning brush and debris.
