Protecting your Home or Property - As a homeowner you must assess your situation carefully and take all possible steps toward wildfire


FireSmart Project Funding - The FireSmart program supports community fire safety by reducing the threat of wild fires. The program also supports job creation utilizing local resources and skills.

For homeowners living in urban interface we recommend a FireSmart Assessment be completed on your property. Assessments are available each fall and provide homeowners with recommendations that are proven effective to reduce wildfire risk.

The Wildland Fire Management Branch of Community Services provides workshops and presentations to individuals and communities interested in protecting their properties and communities.


Firesmart Fundraising - Earn money for your church group, sports team, service organization or other non-profit society.
