WELCOME
The Fire Marshal’s Office (FMO), at times referred to as the Office of the Fire Marshal, is an organization within the Yukon Territorial Government, belonging to Community Services, Protective Services Branch.

MISSION
Reduce the loss of life and property to fire and other related emergencies throughout the Yukon.

GOALS & OBJECTIVES
Continuously improve life safety and fire protection through leadership, education, enforcement, and program development.

WHO WE ARE
The Fire Marshal and Deputy Fire Marshals work with many different agencies and personnel to meet the Goals, Objectives, and Mission of the office, being responsible for public life safety and fire education; as well as, the funding, training and administering of Fire Departments in the Yukon’s communities.

ROLE

  • Assist and work with people throughout the Yukon

    • Schools & Day Care Facilities
    • Public Assembly Buildings
    • Hotels and/or Motels

  • Advise and recommend within the Yukon Government the needs, standards, and legislation relating to life safety, fire prevention and fire protection:
