Notice: 2019 licence renewals for insurance adjusters, agents, brokers and salespeople will open on June 17, 2019. As part of the 2019 renewal process, we are introducing new forms and instructions. Please ensure you renew using the new forms once they are available. We will only accept the new forms.

To see if your individual licence has been renewed, please check the registry above. This registry updates every 24 hours. 

If your name is not on the registry under "licences valid until September 30, 2019",  your licence has not been processed. You are not permitted to conduct insurance business if we have not processed your licence.

As stated in the reminder notices, all renewal applications received after August 15th, 2018 may not be processed before September 30, 2018.

The Office of the Superintendent of Insurance comes under the Professional Licensing & Regulatory Affairs Branch. To protect consumers the office licenses insurance companies and monitors their financial status and business practices. Issues such as requests for licensure are reviewed and approved or denied by the Superintendent. The office also licenses the intermediaries such as agents, brokers and salespersons and may investigate complaints against them.

To interpret or apply the legislation, the Insurance Act and Regulations should be consulted.
