Feedback from the survey will be reviewed and used to create a draft legislation for the Government of Yukon to consider.

Lotteries and raffles are important fundraising tools for charitable organizations. The Government of Yukon values the important work that charitable organizations do and must balance charitable fundraising goals with safe-guarding of the public.

The Registrar of Lotteries can issue gaming licences for bingo, casino and raffle events. The Registrar handles the  following:

  • Determine who is eligible for gaming licences;
  • Issue gaming licences;
  • Investigate activities related to gaming events;
  • Providing technical advice;
  • Auditing financial records;
  • Enforce terms and conditions of licences;
  • Provide public education on charitable gaming.
